Today we won a HUGE VICTORY in Chiyembekezo’s home village of Mbenjere!! Money is hard to find in the village during this time of year. People are broke and they need to buy seed, fertilizer and start to save for their children’s school fees in January. In the search for money to help in their time of need, many women have begun buying clay pots to brew a local beer called Kachasu. It’s illegal and the cause of many a broken home and needless death.

2019 starts our third year with the Chiyembekezo building program and we’re so close to the finish line! Today, as I look at this church going up, I can remember the many families entering the mud pit as we hand molded tens of thousands of bricks! I remember my own children running the molds to where they would be placed to dry in the sun. My thoughts go back recalling the two different teams from the USA that partnered with Chiyembekezo and physically took part in building the kilns. I’m so thankful for those who have financially given to make this project a reality. It’s been a long and muddy journey.

It’s important to have a vision and to identify what opportunities the future holds. This is true whether we’re talking about leading a growing corporation, church or mission station. But simply having a vision is not enough if it doesn’t inspire and motivate people to action.
