Our October Family Update:

It’s an exciting time at Hope Bible Baptist Church in Chipata as we continue to see God’s hand in our ministry. One area that has really flourished is our radio program. We’re reaching more people than ever, with a listener base of up to 1 million across Chipata and the Eastern Province! People are calling in with questions, seeking to know more about the Gospel, and through this ministry, many are visiting our city church for the first time. It’s incredible to see how God is using the airwaves to bring people into our fellowship and into a deeper relationship with Him.

One example of this is a family that recently moved to Chipata from Lusaka. The husband, a former police officer, was going through a tough time after a major incident changed the course of his life and forced him to leave the city. With no other options, he relocated his family to Chipata. Facing immense pressures and struggles at home and within himself, he heard about our church through the radio ministry. Feeling drawn to the message, he visited our church, and we’ve since been working closely with him and his family. We’ve shared the Gospel with them, explaining the message of salvation to both him and his wife, guiding them toward a new hope in Christ. This is just one example of how God is using both our radio ministry and church to reach people, showing them the hope that can only be found in Christ.

Within the church, our disciples are stepping into leadership roles, teaching Sunday school, and leading our children’s ministries. Their dedication is helping us build a strong foundation for the future as we continue to train and equip believers for service in the kingdom.

As our church grows, we recognize the need for a permanent home. Currently, we meet in a hotel room, which has served us well, but for the church to truly flourish, we need our own space. Recently, we found a prime plot of land in a great location in the city. The owner is eager to sell, and this opportunity is an answer to prayer. Securing this land will allow us to establish a lasting presence in Chipata, giving us the space we need to continue growing and reaching more people for Christ. We currently have $20,000 toward this project, which is 40% of what we need. We’re thankful for God’s provision so far, and we trust He will continue to guide us as we move forward in faith.

Please keep us in your prayers as we work toward securing this land and continuing the important work God has entrusted to us here in Chipata.
